Woolston sits on the east bank of the River Itchen, connected to the city centre by the Itchen Bridge. Once known for its shipbuilding heritage, Woolston is now a mix of traditional terraces, new-build riverside apartments at Centenary Quay, and family homes. The waterside location means plenty of unobstructed light for solar panels.
Coastal proximity means excellent light levels. Properties near the water benefit from reflected light. Most homes suit 3-4kW systems, with newer builds at Centenary Quay often pre-wired for solar.
Standard permitted development applies. Some newer developments may have covenants - Tom checks this during the survey.
Living near the water we get loads of light. Tom recommended the right size system for our house and it's been brilliant. He even came back to check everything was running well.
