Sholing is a residential area on the east side of Southampton, close to the River Itchen and with its own railway station. The area has a mix of inter-war semis, post-war houses, and some newer builds. It's a well-established community with local shops and good schools. Many homeowners here are switching to solar to take advantage of the area's good sun exposure.
Sholing's elevated position gives many homes excellent sun exposure. Semi-detached homes typically suit 4kW systems, and the area's relatively open layout means shading is rarely an issue.
